The Bishop O'Dowd High School library welcomes the opportunity to assist students with their research needs. It contains approximately 20,000 books, about a hundred print editions of periodicals, extensive online and CD-ROM databases, Internet access, and facilities for student word processing and copying. Its primary collection principle is curriculum support, but it also carries a substantial fiction collection. The library subscribes to the freedom of information philosophy of the American Library Association. It is a member of the Library of California network, Bay Area Independent School Librarians, and Baynet. |
